Description
Context
MSML documentation currently explains what exists but not how it should be used. This creates ambiguity for new users, inconsistent implementations, and a growing gap between MSML’s conceptual motivation and real-world usage.
Goals
- Make MSML easier to onboard into
- Encode architectural intent and best practices
- Reduce ambiguity in how core abstractions are composed
Scope
Add focused documentation covering:
- Conceptual overview: what MSML is for, and when to use it
- Core abstractions: responsibilities, intended usage, and anti-patterns
- Best practices: decomposition, granularity, naming, and scaling systems
- Common pitfalls: over-coupling, misuse of spaces/processors, leaky abstractions
- Examples: small, opinionated examples that scale in complexity
Documentation should be opinionated and prescriptive, not just descriptive.
Deliverables
- Updated README or docs index
- New markdown docs under
/docs - Cross-linked examples and guidance for new users
