What happened?
I created a VM for Ubuntu 26.04 LTS snapshot1 using the default options (2 GB of memory). It starts and the Ubuntu installers runs but eventually hangs with the VM using 100% CPU while copying files.
It works after increasing the VM's memory to 4 GB.
How can we reproduce this?
- Use the GUI to create a VM named Ubuntu 26.04 LTS using the default options (2 GB of memory) and attach the iso from https://releases.ubuntu.com/26.04-snapshot1/ubuntu-26.04-desktop-amd64.iso.
- Start the VM and wait for the Ubuntu installer to run.
- Step through the installer with default options.
- It eventually hangs with the VM using 100% CPU while copying files.
- The attached log shows is hanging before I powered it off at 00:07:48.
Did you upload all of your necessary log files, screenshots, etc.?
- Yes, I've uploaded all pertinent files to this issue.
