I don't like the idea of changing the static variable so I would suggest one of two possibilities:

ok. i don't know if this pull request can be useful. the unique case i think is if i wanna download the node_modules folder locally for put the it and package.json in a folder build |

i don't know if this pull can be right. With this pull is possible specifty a custom path for package.json.
