livekit-agents 1.4.0 adds Python 3.14 support via an updated livekit-blingfire dependency (1.1+) that ships cp314 wheels. See livekit/agents#4710 and the 1.4.0 release notes.

Also takes care of updating to use explicit agent dispatch by default.

Resolves GRW-61 and partially GRW-16

Looks like we actually need to wait for livekit/agents#4757 to land in a new release of livekit-agents before we can do the upgrade.

@Topherhindman can you do me a favor and also make the update to the docs? i think the quickstart still says python <3.14

@bcherry yeah for sure

Set agent_name="my-agent" on the rtc_session decorator so the
agent must be explicitly dispatched to a room rather than
auto-joining every new room. Update the taskfile template
substitution to match the new decorator-based pattern.
